Everyone cooks. That is the whole reason a seasoning fundraiser works so well. Supporters are not being asked to find room for another novelty item, they are buying something they will reach for on a Tuesday night when dinner needs help.
Spicecraft has been blending spices in Christchurch since 2012. It is a family business, the blends are made in their own factory, and the range covers the everyday favourites that go on chicken, chips, roast veges and barbecue meat.
Why Seasonings Sell
- People buy more than one. A single jar rarely feels like enough. Supporters pick up a couple for themselves and one for a gift, which lifts your average order without any extra work.
- No fridge, no freezer, no rush. Seasonings sit on a shelf. You are not racing to hand out a frozen product before it thaws in someone's car boot.
- Easy to explain. There is nothing to describe beyond the flavour. Order forms and online listings do the selling for you.
- Repeat buyers. Families who liked last year's blend will order again, so a Spicecraft fundraiser gets easier the second time you run it.
How It Works
Set your campaign up on Raised, then share the link with your school community. Supporters order and pay online, so there is no cash tin, no order forms to chase, and no reconciling paper slips at the end.
Spicecraft delivers nationwide, and Christchurch groups can arrange collection direct from their Islington factory.
Making It Work for Your School
Seasoning fundraisers do best when people can picture the food. A quick post showing what a blend goes on beats a product photo of a jar every time. Ask a few families to share what they made with theirs and let word of mouth carry the rest of the campaign.
Timing helps too. Run it in the lead up to summer when barbecues start, or in the weeks before Christmas when supporters are looking for small gifts and stocking fillers.
Who It Suits
Schools, sports clubs and community groups of any size. There is no minimum order that makes it awkward for a small group, and the product travels well enough that a big campaign is no harder to run than a small one.
